I had a decent stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Colorado Springs North. The location is great for many attractions, but I encountered a few issues during my visit. The staff was friendly and accommodating, though the cleanliness and some amenities could use improvement. Overall, it was a mixed experience that I'd be willing to try again considering the good aspects.

Rooms

I found the room overall clean, but there were signs of neglect like dust on ledges. The bathroom was tight to maneuver in, especially with the armchair removed for space. I appreciated the daily housekeeping, especially since we had a pullout sofa that was made up every day. However, I did find a strange smell upon entering my suite and some cosmetics issues could not be overlooked.
Service

The staff was friendly and responsive to requests, like removing furniture to make more space. They kept the breakfast buffet well-stocked and clean, which was impressive. However, I faced some inconveniences because of construction, which affected my overall experience.

Breakfast offered the usual options like pancakes, bacon, and cinnamon rolls, which I enjoyed. The dining area was of decent size, and despite the crowds, tables turned over quickly. I could've used more variety or better fruit options, but overall it was satisfactory.
Facilities

The facilities were pretty standard but had a few issues. The indoor pool area was small and felt cramped, and I noticed cleanliness issues, particularly with the hot tub. Parking was another hassle, especially with the limited spaces available.
